“Brian Molko's witty self-deprecation and heartfelt choruses make for stylized darkness with a power-pop spirit”
ROLLING STONE

In a decade-long career that includes many highpoints: opening for David Bowie at Madison Square Garden, performing with Robert Smith of The Cure at Wembley Arena in the UK and selling out the18,000-seater Bercy in Paris, Placebo have gradually become one of the world’s most accomplished and dynamic rock bands.

Recorded at the legendary RAK Studios in London with producer Dimitri Tikovoi and mixed by Flood (U2, Smashing Pumpkins, Depeche Mode), the band’s 5th album returns to the stripped down stylings of their 1996 debut, and contains a wealth of future classics shot through with singer-guitarist Brian Molko’s trademark dark humor.

'Meds' gives honorable nods to the band's inspiration (Michael Stipe's guest vocals on "Broken Promise") as well as their legacy. An example of the band’s legacy is guest appearance of VV of underground darlings The Kills, who sings on the album’s title track "Meds", and Russell Lissack of Bloc Party remixing the single, "Because I Want You" (available now for digital download from all providers).
